VOLUNTEER AT EVERGREEN

Help change lives in your local community

Why Volunteer with Evergreen?

At The Evergreen Care Trust we rely on a team of dedicated volunteers who help deliver services across the local community so that older members of our community are supported and cared for. Not only is volunteering a great way to help others, it's also a way of meeting new people, developing new skills and being a part of a warm and supportive community. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Build rewarding friendships

  • Make a real impact on someone's life

  • Gain valuable experience and training

  • Be part of a supportive community

  • Uncover new places in the local area

  • Attend exciting events

  • Share laughter and stories

  • Opportunities tailored to your interests

What does volunteering
involve?

At Evergreen we offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities perfect to suit the wide range of interests and skillsets we have in the community. You can volunteer with us as often or as little as you want from helping support a one off event or helping with some of our weekly services.

All volunteers will attend a welcome induction when joining and receive the relevant training required for the service they choose to support. This ensures that all volunteers feel confident, supported and connected to Evergreens visions and values.

How do I become a Volunteer?

To become a volunteer at Evergreen, start by exploring the volunteering opportunities we offer and see which role feels like the right fit for you. When you’re ready, get in touch with our Volunteers Manager, Ed Bailey, by phone, email, or by arranging a meeting.

You’ll have an informal chat together about why you’d like to volunteer, the skills you bring, and the time you’re able to commit. From there, we’ll help match you to the perfect role and send over the necessary forms, including a DBS check.

Juliet, FTG

Volunteering with our Friends Together Group is just wonderful! I love providing a space where people can come together, form connections and have fun on a weekly basis.

Claire, Befriending

Both parties get something from it... since joining Evergreen, I now know so much more about the local area such as local art classes, restaurants, community events and more.
