This week we caught up with our student placements to hear about their experience at Evergreen Care Trust. In partnership with Stamford College, we have welcomed three students from the T Level Digital Production and Design course who have been assisting our data and marketing team.
Throughout the year, these students have supported us in a variety of ways, from helping with the organisation of events to contributing to graphic design projects and working on data analytics. Their involvement has been a valuable addition to our work and has given them the opportunity to apply their skills in a real-world setting.
One of our students, Connor Caver, shared his thoughts on his placement so far:
"My time at Evergreen has been an incredibly rewarding experience, filled with creativity, teamwork, and opportunities to make a difference in the community. From designing posters to helping out with soup deliveries, every part of my journey here has helped me grow both personally and professionally.
One of the highlights of my time at Evergreen has been working on various design projects. I’ve created multiple posters for events and initiatives, and I’m proud that they’ve received such positive feedback. It’s been a great chance to develop my design skills and see how creativity can help bring people together and share important messages.
In addition to design work, I’ve also had the opportunity to help with Evergreen’s website. Working on web content and updates taught me a lot about how digital tools can connect a community and keep everyone informed. I’ve enjoyed contributing to a space that reflects the welcoming and vibrant spirit of Evergreen.
Another part of my week that I always looked forward to was helping with soup deliveries on Fridays. It was a simple but meaningful way to give back, and it reminded me of the importance of kindness, teamwork, and community support.
Overall, I’ve quite enjoyed my time at Evergreen. It’s been a place where I’ve been able to learn, create, and connect with others. I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve worked with — and I’m excited to see what comes next."
We are proud to partner with Stamford College and provide opportunities for students to grow their skills while contributing to our mission of caring for the elderly in our community.
