HOME SUPPORT
What is our HOME
SUPPORT sERVICE?
Our Home Support service is designed to help you remain as independent as possible in the comfort of your own home. During an initial home assessment, we take time to understand your routines, preferences, and the type of support that would make the biggest difference to your daily life. Once everything is agreed, you are matched with your own regular Home Support Worker, who will get to know you and focus on the things that truly help to “make your day.”
Why Volunteer with Evergreen?
At The Evergreen Care Trust we rely on a team of dedicated volunteers who help deliver services across the local community so that older members of our community are supported and cared for. Not only is volunteering a great way to help others, it's also a way of meeting new people, developing new skills and being a part of a warm and supportive community. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we'd love to hear from you!

aBOUT THE TEAM
All our Home Support Workers are fully trained and DBS‑checked, giving you confidence that you are in safe, reliable hands. They can offer companionship, help with meals and meal preparation, support with spring cleaning, and everyday domestic tasks such as laundry, ironing, and changing bedding. They can assist with shopping or complete it on your behalf, unpack deliveries, collect prescriptions, and help you stay connected to the people, hobbies and activities you enjoy. They are also able to drive and accompany you to appointments, social outings, special events, or simply stop by to check on your wellbeing.
Behind the scenes, two dedicated members of staff in the Evergreen office coordinate the service, manage scheduling, and provide ongoing support to both you and your Home Support Worker. This ensures your visits run smoothly and that you always have someone to contact if your needs change.

PEACE OF MIND FOR LOVED ONES
We know that many families are balancing care responsibilities with the demands of everyday life. As care needs grow, so can the pressure and time commitment required. Our Home Support Workers can offer a Pop-In visit to ensure all is well with your loved one while you are away on holiday.
As part of our companionship service, we can keep your loved one company, take them out for a trip, or visit briefly to make sure everything is well. This offers reassurance, reduces worry, and provides valuable respite, knowing your loved one is safe, supported and cared for.
