Funded by Lincolnshire County Council's Covid19 Community Response Fund and managed by The Lincolnshire Community Foundation the project 'Make, Grow & Cook,' was an idea by Lincolnshire Outdoor Learning ( Social Enterprise ) and a group of local Lincolnshire artists and a chef.
We have found that during lockdown there was a lot of content for families and people who had access to the internet.
Yet there are many people who are shielding and for who being housebound is normal. We wanted to provide a respite and something positive to do for this group and which will be accessible no matter their age, ability, health issues or access to the internet.
The project aims to build resilience by Growing plants from seeds that can be used in cooking, cooking simple inspiring meals from scratch using some of the ingredients that you have grown at home and using recycled materials to make something to use in your home.
