Befriender

Could you spare an hour or two a week to build a meaningful friendship with a lonely adult experiencing periods of vulnerability in their life?  We believe that committed friendships can be life transforming for those who are lonely and isolated.  This requires long-term commitment and is mutually rewarding.  A regular visit, a cuppa and a chat, or a little outing is all it takes to make a difference.  Out of pocket expenses are negotiated with the member and managed through the Trust. Clean Team Operative

Sometimes a person’s domestic circumstances can get out of control; this volunteer project requires hardy, enthusiastic and fit volunteers who enjoy making a serious difference in restoring a dignified and sanitary home.  This is a blitz operation, using industrial cleaning agents and equipment, prior to the commencement of a Home Support service.

Fundraiser

Volunteer fundraisers create much-needed revenue for the Trust. From helping to organise one of our major fund-raising events, to running a coffee morning or tea party.  The opportunities for creativity and fun are endless. Our four annual fundraising events are: Spring Concert, Summer Tea Party, Autumn Charity Ball and Winter Santa Fun Run.  For more details on how you could make a difference, please get in touch.

Prayer Supporter

As a Prayer Supporter, you are invited to pray for all our staff, volunteers and members.  You will be notified of specific prayer from time-to-time, in direct support of various activities and to guide the Trust in its operations.  A regular update is circulated via e-mail by the Chaplaincy Lead to keep you informed.  You may also wish to help prepare the annual prayer diary, or to follow the Evergreen Prayer Diary as a day-to-day guide.

Service Review Officer

As a service review officer you would join a small team of experienced and trained volunteers who are responsible for monitoring quality of our Home Support and Befriending services.  Based in both Stamford and Bourne our Service Review Officers monitor quality and review services.  You would visit members in their homes to assess whether the service the Trust is providing is fulfilling the member requirements. This volunteer role would suit ex-teachers, or ex-social workers, or those who have been working in the care industry who wish to take on a more demanding role.  Volunteering in this role offers flexibility and team working opportunities.
