Volunteering Opportunities

The Trust offers abundant volunteer opportunities for those who enjoy working with and serving our member group.  There is something for everyone, either working one to one, as in Befriending, or as part of a team, such as Hot & Wholesome lunches and deliveries or Clean Team Operations.  Volunteers can commit to regular hours, or as needed depending on the projects.  As the work of the Trust has grown the volunteering opportunities have expanded to include Advocates, Administrative Support, Service Review Officers, Ambassadors (Church and Civic) and Event Managers and Fundraisers.

Bi-annual meetings are held for volunteers providing them with an opportunity to catch up over a cuppa and share experiences.  Regular training events provide both learning and support along with a good dose of fun.

We endorse equal opportunities, non-judgemental practice and believe in the inestimable value of each and every person.  We strive for excellence in all our work and dealings with those we support and those involved in supporting them.  All volunteers are registered with the Trust and are required to provide two references and agree to DBS checks after which they are issued with identification badges which must be worn whenever representing the Trust.  Volunteers are also required to attend Induction and on-going training.  A Public and Employers Liability insurance is held by the Trust.
